Christine Marshall, Artist

Short Description

"CANADA'S FIRST LADY OF WILDLIFE ART" Christine Marshall is known as one of Canada's foremost painters. Her Nature paintings have captured the attention of animal lovers everywhere. Few artists on the contemporary scene have achieved the level of success or the international acclaim her work has received. Christine creates breathtaking original paintings with acrylic on canvas with great detail, with exceptional artistry and with real emotion. Christine was born in London, England and showed an interest in art at an early age. Her father, John Flaxman, an artist and distant relative of the first artist engaged by the famous British potter, Josiah Wedgwood, guided her in her initial attempts in drawing and painting. Large and bold mushroom themes were her first subjects, in the mid 1970's, that the Galleries in Ontario recognized and collected. Mushroom themes have remained her trademark to this day.
