Andree Chenier, Jewellery

Short Description

I have been pursuing creative endeavours in one form or another since an early age. Interests in drawing, painting and sculpting have helped me to develop a passion for sculptural work and a desire to explore materials that lend themselves to creating volume like clays and metals. My love of working in a small scale lead me to experiment with precious metal clay, and eventually sterling silver. In 2011, after taking numerous evening jewellery classes and attending the Ecole de Joaillerie de Montréal, I left a career in IT and became a full-time student of the Jewellery Arts program at George Brown College. I extrapolate design elements from natural items like feathers, flower petals and seeds and create handmade or 3D printed jewellery.
